An Important Update Regarding Our Lomatium Products

As a trusted and loyal customer of Barlow Herbal, I wanted to provide you an important update regarding our products containing lomatium (Lomatium dissectum var multifida). Earlier this year, the government opened an inquiry regarding our sourcing and use of lomatium; the inquiry does not relate to purity or quality.

As you would expect, we are cooperating with the inquiry and also undertaking an internal review in order to carefully assess and ensure our compliance with the rules and regulations regarding Lomatium. Pending the outcome of our review, we are deferring delivery of products containing lomatium.

We appreciate that some of our products are essential to your health and well being, and we deeply apologize for any inconvenience. Operating in compliance with the law, fulfilling the satisfaction and peace of mind of our customers, and protecting the environment have always been our core values.

We are working diligently and as quickly as possible to be able to resume our lomatium products. We will keep you updated, and in the meantime wish you good health.

We have reformulated all of our salves which contained lomatium. In it’s place, we will now be using chaparral oil. Chaparral, also known as Larrea tridentata or creosote bush, is a remarkable herb renowned for its versatile healing potential and may offer antimicrobial benefits.

Our Herbal Throat Spray is still available, but without the lomatium.
